Nasser Khazeni awarded provisional patent for carbon dioxide capture technology

Ph.D. candidate Nasser Khazeni, an IEE graduate student, working with IEE Director Abbas Ghassemi, Jalal Rastegary, and Reza Foudazi, has developed an innovative carbon capture technology with significant commercial applications. The process uses a new zeolithic imidazolate framework, synthesized by Khazeni, which is 100 times more effective than similar structures at capturing carbon.
