Program Manager, Senior
Room: NMSU/IEE Resources Center, Albuquerque
Chris has managed IEE’s Resources Center in Albuquerque, NM since its inception in 1999. Funded through grants from the EPA, the Center provides New Mexico’s businesses, public entities, communities, and tribes with on-site technical assistance in the fields of pollution prevention, energy efficiency, “lean and green” manufacturing, and environmental education. To reduce carbon footprints and realize cost-savings for clients, the Center offers energy and pollution prevention assessments as well as guidance on the development and implementation of environmental management systems.
Chris came to New Mexico in 1996 after serving with the Peace Corps in Hungary as an Environmental Volunteer and working for 16 years as an environmental planner with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management. Before coming to IEE, Chris initiated the Source Water Protection Program for the New Mexico Rural Water Association. Chris was educated at Columbia University and at the University of Michigan; he currently lives in Albuquerque with his wife and four dogs.
